Museum of Contemporary Art

Building of Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina – was created in response to the park environment and the aktude towards the same conditions on all sides. The ring introduces the audience to the core of the form, shaping the intimate interior space, and on a semantic level it “preserves” the park in the same way that museum exhibits are preserved. The ring accentuates the place, “rounds off” the existing character of the ambience and creates an inner green square – an entrance hall. The ring shape in terms of physical structure “gives an advantage” to the access plateau – “emptiness”, which is “framed” by the museum building and thus becomes part of the exhibition space. Neutralisation of the form is achieved by a reflective facade in the area of the exhibition space and transparent pavilions on the ground floor.
